As a composer, Wilhelm Spuller won several composition awards and distinctions. Commissioned works he wrote u. a. for the Arnold Schoenberg Choir, the Vienna Chamber Choir, the Vienna Boys Choir, Windkraft Tirol, the Liszt Festival Raiding or the Vienna City Marathon (official anthem of the marathon).


Wilhelm Spuller is a professor at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory of the Province of Burgenland in Eisenstadt


(composition, harmony, counterpoint), as well as teacher at the Music School Vienna (class for composition at the district music school Hernals). Since 2017 he is district music school director in Vienna Hernals.


The lyrical tenor and composer Wilhelm Spuller received his versatile musical education at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (piano pedagogy, composition, media composition), at the Vienna


Conservatory (Lied and Oratorio) and in Basel with Kurt Widmer.


Wilhelm Spuller sang u. a. in productions of the Vienna State Opera (children's opera), the Theater an der Wien, the Vienna Volkstheater.


His broad repertoire includes works from the early Baroque (Monteverdi »Orfeo«, title role in 2014 in Salzburg) over contemporary compositions to Wienerlied.
